Digital Accessibility Certification as a guarantee of compliance
Accessibility certificates, based on any of the official regulatory standards, both national and international, are a guarantee of compliance, an increase in confidence in the digital tools audited and a demonstration of the commitment of the entities to the integration of the elderly and people with disabilities.
Digital Accessibility regulatory standards
EQA has the capacity to audit based on any of the existing norms and standards, although the most common are the following.
- WCAG 2.0 – Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.
- WCAG 2.1 – Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.
- Royal Decree 1112/2018 – Accessibility of websites and applications for mobile devices of public sector bodies.
- UNE 139803:2012 – Accessibility of web content.
- UNE-EN 301549:2020 – Accessibility requirements for ICT products and services.
- UNE 139802:2009 – Software accessibility requirements.
EQA as an independent certification body
EQA is an international certification, verification and inspection body with more than 20 years of experience. Its core values are independence, technical competence and an agile methodology. It was founded in 1993 in the United Kingdom. It has been present in Spain since 1997, operating nationally throughout Spain, as well as internationally in countries such as Chile, Mexico, Colombia and the Dominican Republic. Most of its services are accredited by ENAC (National Accreditation Entity). EQA has auditors specialised in the area of Digital Accessibility, with the capacity to audit national, European and international standards.
